A former WWE superstar and champion was in action this past Sunday at AEW Revolution 2026 in a massive title match. The talent in question, Lio Rush, had shown up with his head shaved and seemed to have debuted a new on-screen character. Now, he has shared a photo of his new look on social media.

During the Zero Hour pre-show ahead of Revolution last weekend, Ricochet’s AEW National Championship was on the line in a 21-Man Blackjack Battle Royale, featuring a number of aspiring and hungry wrestlers looking to capture gold, including members of The Bang Bang Gang and LFI, Death Riders’ Daniel Garcia, Scorpio Sky, Dalton Castle, AR Fox and many other names. One of these participants was Lio Rush, who channeled an entirely new look and persona in the ring, his performance serving as a display of eerie physicality throughout his duration in the match.

Unfortunately, Rush was unable to last till the end of the bout, as he was eliminated by another participant, former TNT Champion Tommaso Ciampa. Around a day after Revolution, Lio took to X/Twitter to share an image of his new character- a still close-up of his face sporting a maniacal grin. The caption of the post indicates that the former WWE superstar is bringing his “Blackheart” gimmick to AEW.

What becomes next of CRU- Lio’s team with Action Andretti and as of late, Lacey Lane- in light of this new character evolution for Rush remains to be seen.

Who won the AEW National Title at Revolution 2026?

21 performers competed in the Blackjack Battle Royal for the All Elite Wrestling National Championship at Revolution 2026 Zero Hour, a bout which eventually spilled into the main card of the show. Ultimately, the field narrowed down to the final two competitors, defending champion Ricochet, and Jack Perry, who has been a thorn on the veteran high-flyer’s side for weeks now.
