Chelsea great Eden Hazard has admitted he would love to see Como manager Cesc Fabregas one day take over at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard and Fabregas were teammates during a successful spell at Chelsea, where they lifted several trophies together.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Hazard said: “Honestly, we spoke a little over the summer. I told him he was one of the greatest midfielders ever and that he’s on his way to becoming a top-class coach as well.

“I told him the moment had come to go back to Chelsea. He laughed it off, but I truly believe it. He lives and breathes football, and his understanding of the game is incredible.

“I’m a Chelsea supporter and I want what’s best for the club. That’s why I imagine Cesc on the touchline, with me in the stands behind him, just enjoying what he’s doing.”

Fabregas is currently in his second full campaign as head coach, with Como sitting sixth in the Serie A standings.
