England has received a massive triple injury boost as Declan Rice, Marc Guéhi, and Reece James have all returned to first-team training ahead of their highly anticipated World Cup quarter-final showdown against Norway.
Thomas Tuchel’s squad secured their place in the final eight after a tense 3-2 victory over tournament co-hosts Mexico, powered by a double from Jude Bellingham and a Harry Kane penalty. However, the win came at a cost, as defender Jarell Quansah received a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on Jesús Gallardo, ruling him out for the Three Lions’ next two fixtures.
Despite that setback, the return of the key trio provides a major lift for the squad. Rice is back after dealing with a recent bout of illness, while Guéhi has successfully managed some hamstring tightness. Meanwhile, Chelsea captain Reece James is finally back in the mix after being sidelined with a hamstring issue since England’s group-stage draw against Ghana.
