Arrow McLaren driver Nolan Siegel collided with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal midway through the Arlington GP, but fortunately, both drivers were able to continue without any damage to their cars. IndyCar fans have now come out and bashed Siegel for the incident.
Graham Rahal started the race in P24 and made up a few positions in the first stint. The RLL driver pitted on Lap 21 from P16 and came out just ahead of Nolan Siegel. However, the Arrow McLaren driver was able to pass Rahal on the next lap with warmer tyres.
After the RLL driver got his tyres up to temperature, he tried making a move on the 21-year-old. However, as Graham Rahal tried making a move on the long back straight, Siegel was seen moving the car, first to the right, and then to the left, seemingly blocking the IndyCar veteran.
With Rahal having nowhere to go, the two drivers’ tyres rubbed at speeds upward of 150 mph. Fortunately, both were able to control the car, and the bodywork didn’t take any damage. But Graham Rahal did end up with an all scuffed up front right tyre.
The FOX broadcast missed the contact between the two and was later uploaded on the social media platform X. Fans took to the comments section and bashed Nolan Siegel for almost causing a major accident.
“Seigel needs to go,that was BS,” commented a user
Another wrote, “Siegel is a liability.”
“That’s BLOCKING on Siegel. He made one move to the right to take the inside lane for the right-hand kink then “drifted” left. That’s a block,” mentioned another user
Some pointed at Nolan Siegel’s poor results, while others suggested that the 21-year-old hasn’t improved since joining.
“Siegel now 20th, 20th, and 24th in 3 starts this season. When is enough enough? @ArrowMcLaren” commented a user
Another wrote, “I know Siegel comes with a lot of financial backing, but damn-dude just doesn’t seem to be improving”
“Siegel is a f**king liability , how he’s still in a seat I don’t know,” mentioned another user on X
Nolan Siegel takes Romain Grosjean out of the Arlington GP after final lap crash
Christian Rasmussen crashed out of the Arlington GP with just a handful of laps remaining, bringing out the caution and the safety car. The race was restarted with just one lap remaining as Nolan Siegel and Romain Grosjean battled well outside the Top 10.
Just as the race was restarted, Siegel crashed into the back of Romain Grosjean’s Dale Coyne Racing and brought out another caution, as the race ended under a yellow flag.
“I got destroyed,” said Grosjean on the radio after the crash
IndyCar play-by-play announcer Will Buxton took to the social media platform X and wrote,
“Romain Grosjean was taken out on the final lap of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES race in Arlington, Texas.”
Siegel has failed to finish the first three races of the 2026 IndyCar season inside the Top 15.
