Barcelona president Joan Laporta has insisted head coach Hansi Flick will remain in charge for as long as he chooses.
Flick guided Barca to the LaLiga title in his first season at the helm and currently has the Blaugrana sitting comfortably at the top of the standings.
Speaking on Monday, Laporta said: “It was vital for us to bring in someone with his background and knowledge, but beyond being an outstanding coach, he is an exceptional person.
“From the very first day he arrived, we felt we were making the right decision. He is a complete coach who understands how to manage a squad, blending very young players with experienced ones.
“If I were to continue as president, he would stay here until he personally decides it is time to go.”
Flick is currently under contract at Barcelona until 2027.
