Manchester United have identified Valencia defender Hugo Fernandez as a potential target and now know what it will take to secure his signature.
According to the Daily Mail, the 18-year-old centre-back is under close observation from United’s scouting department this season. Fernandez has recently been training with Carlos Corberan’s senior squad, underlining his growing reputation at the Spanish club.
The youngster’s current contract includes a €4.5 million release clause, which can be activated this summer. However, that figure is set to double at the end of August, increasing the urgency for any interested suitors.
United are also tracking Gambian defender Sedi Kinteh of Tromsø. The teenager has attracted attention from Chelsea and Swiss outfit Young Boys as interest in his development continues to grow.
