Marcus Rashford’s position on a possible return to Manchester United under Michael Carrick has reportedly come to light.

Carrick, 44, has enjoyed an eye-catching start as United’s interim manager, winning all three matches since stepping into the role.

The Telegraph reports that Carrick would be open to bringing Rashford back into the United setup if he were to be appointed on a permanent basis.

However, the Daily Mirror claims the 28-year-old has no desire to return to his boyhood club and is keen to continue his stay at Barcelona.

Rashford joined the Spanish side on loan, with Barcelona holding an option to sign him permanently for £30 million, though a final decision on whether to trigger the clause has yet to be made.
