Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur go head-to-head this weekend, but both sides will be without a combined 12 players due to injury.
United welcome Spurs to Old Trafford aiming to make it four Premier League wins on the bounce under interim manager Michael Carrick, a run that has kept them firmly in the top-four picture.
Tottenham arrive in Manchester off the back of a spirited second-half comeback against Manchester City and are unbeaten in four league matches. Despite that run, Spurs sit 14th in the table under Thomas Frank, nine points clear of the relegation zone but still far from where they would like to be.
Injuries, however, remain a major issue for the visitors. Defensive options are severely limited, with Kevin Danso (ankle), Lucas Bergvall (ankle), Ben Davies (foot) and Pedro Porro (thigh) all ruled out.
Problems extend further up the pitch, as James Maddison (knee), Rodrigo Bentancur (thigh), Mohamed Kudus (thigh), Richarlison (thigh) and Dejan Kulusevski (knee) are also unavailable, leaving Frank with a stretched and makeshift squad.
Manchester United are not without their own concerns. Patrick Dorgu (thigh) and Mason Mount remain sidelined, while Matthijs de Ligt has missed the last 12 matches in all competitions due to a persistent lower-back issue.
The stakes are high for the hosts. Any slip-up could allow Chelsea to overtake them in the table should the Blues defeat bottom-placed Wolves later in the weekend.
Historically, United hold the edge in this fixture, having won 96 of the 206 previous meetings between the two sides. With home advantage and momentum on their side, the Red Devils will be targeting another three points — albeit against a Spurs team that has proven difficult to beat of late.
