Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with two further counts of rape.
The 32-year-old, now with Spanish side Villarreal, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on March 13 in relation to the new charges, which concern one alleged victim and date back to 2020.
The alleged incident was reported to police in August 2025.
In September, Partey pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape involving two other women, as well as a charge of sexual assault against a third complainant at Southwark Crown Court.
Those alleged offences are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022 during his time at Arsenal.
The Ghana international is set to stand trial on November 2.
Partey moved to Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020 in a deal reportedly worth £45 million ($61 million). He departed the Premier League club in June last year after making 167 appearances.
Capped more than 50 times by Ghana, he remains eligible to represent his country at the World Cup later this year.
